Luxury Heritage Hospitality Renovation

Hever Castle – Astor Wing & Anne Boleyn Wing

Client: Hever Castle & Gardens
Location: Kent, UK
Project Scope: Full Interior Design & Project Management

Sarah has led the transformation of two of Hever Castle’s most prestigious guest accommodation areas — the Astor Wing and the Anne Boleyn Wing — blending historic character with contemporary luxury.

Appointed as both Interior designer and project manager, Sarah and the team worked closely with the project team to reimagine these heritage spaces, delivering timeless interiors that respect the Castle’s Tudor roots while elevating the guest experience to five-star standards.

The Astor Wing, a Grade II listed addition built in the early 1900s, required a delicate balance of restoration and innovation

We retained original period features while introducing rich colour palettes, bespoke furnishings, curated antiques, and luxury en-suite bathrooms — all tailored to suit modern expectations within a historic setting.

Following the success of this first phase, we were invited to design the newly built Anne Boleyn Wing, comprising nine boutique junior suites. This wing offered more design flexibility, allowing us to infuse bold character, colour, and escapist touches — all while maintaining harmony with the wider castle aesthetic. Each suite was styled individually, with high-spec finishes and stunning views of the castle and grounds.

Our ongoing relationship with Hever Castle has strengthened their reputation as a premium destination for weddings, exclusive stays, and corporate events. The project stands as a testament to our expertise in delivering high-impact, historically sensitive interior design and end-to-end project management — even on complex, live heritage sites.

The greatest reward has been seeing how guests respond to the spaces, not just visually, but emotionally. Whether it’s a couple getting ready for their wedding day or visitors experiencing the magic of Hever for the first time, the interiors we’ve created are part of those special moments.

Working with Hever Castle is an ongoing and deeply treasured relationship. It’s a place that continues to inspire us with every visit. We look back on the past ten years with immense pride — and look ahead to the future with excitement for what’s still to come.
